Jira: After upgrade to 4.4, Plugin Manager not displaying any plugins from exchange and gives NoRouteToHostException

Hey,

Just did an upgrade on our test server from Jira 4.1.2 to 4.4 (on route to 5.2) and it seems to have gone OK so far except for a couple of little things like this.

As you can see, every tab in plugins shows that error at the top (not immediately, the tab loads for a couple of seconds then the error appears) and no plugins are being displayed from the Plugin Exchange wher ethey should be at the bottom there. I just see a loading spinner for a second then nothing.

Anybody have any ideas?

I am not sure if this is not being fixed yet.

"No route to host" can be caused by network issue. It could be also that, during the time, marketplace.atlassian.com is not accessible.

So, what you can do is:

• ping the the Plugin Exchange(has been renamed to marketplace) and make sure that marketplace is accessible from your JIRA server .
• make sure JIRA Base URL in the Administrations > General Configuration is matching the URL that you are currently using to access JIRA
• if there any proxy in front of JIRA, you might want to bypass the proxy using -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts in the JVM parameter for outgoing request to marketplace . Refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+Web+Proxy+Support+for+Confluence
• make sure that the browser is not in OFFLINE MODE

Thank you for the good response, I will look in to these suggestions, especially as since this question I have started getting No Rout To host errors all over the place so maybe one of these can help.
