Can we store the output of Get API somewhere in Jira and later use those values in the Custom filed dropdown (select)?

Hello @Ankit Rastogi ,

Welcome to community!

There is no direct way to achieve what you are looking for.

However, you can setup some automation rule(Automation for Jira) setting up the web request in that and can store the desired field value in a field on a Test Issue and can use it.

Please try to explore this option and check whether it caters to your use case.

Have a nice day!

Thanks @Himanshi

Yes, we can do through Jira Automation. I am wondering how and where we can store API response and how can i use in custom field of Jira issue.

Do you have any idea on it?

Hi @Ankit Rastogi ,

Below is the way that I use response from the "Send web request" action in the Jira Automation.

1. Send Web request

2. Create variable, and in the Value, call the {{webhookResponse}} smart Value

3. Use the above variable in other actions in the SAME automation

If this isn't what objective, I would request you to please add a little more description to the original question, so that we can try to understand the query better :-)
