Jira Charting plugin doesn't add custom fields

I want to add some gadgets from the JIRA Charting plugin. But when I add them I get an error:

"

There were no matching issues found. Please make sure that you have selected a valid project or filter and that you have correctly configured the required custom fields.

"

I went to the Custom Fields, but there are no fields available: eg. timesInStatus

I tried uninstalling and installing the plugin again, but this didn't help. The JIRA logs don't show any exception either.

Our JIRA versino 6.2.7 which is compatible with plugin version 1.23.

Any ideas?

Hello Kevin,

You should be able to manually create the Custom Field after the plugin installation. Go to Administration > Issues > Custom Fields > Add Custom Field. Here, look for the "Time in Status" field type and create the field with Time in Status name. 

This should allow the gadget to work fine.
