Hi all,
I want to try Postman and API call to
List Custom fields used in a project along with the associated screens.
We have different screens and on each screen we have multiple same name custom fields.
For me to perform some bulk actions I need to know the custom field Id's and names of Fields on each screen to automate stuff.
Is there an API call to get the list ! or any other way to achieve
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-list-all-fields-and-screens-in-use-by-a-project-in-jira-1115140601.html -> looking for something similar for Cloud.
Let us say it is just one company Managed project.
-> And this is to take back up of this poorly managed project, so changing field names not going to help.
-> Aim is to identify all fields of the screens used and use the field ID's for automation's to copy values to another fields.
-> I got all that Automation covered.
-> Just need to identify all the field names mapped ID's with used screens
Hi Sandeep,
The first thing you need to do is rename some of the Custom fields so they do not have the same name. That will continue to cause you problems.
Are all of the projects company-managed? Or are some also team-managed?
For Company-managed projects, you can go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields.
Search for the custom field. Then click the 3 dots menu to the right and select Default value and Contexts.
On the next screen you can see the ID for the custom field at the end of the URL in your browser.

So, you should be able to go to Settings > Issues > Screens then search for your screen and click on it.
Once there you will see all of the fields used by the screen. Then you can follow my steps above to find the ID of the fields.
