When I try to find the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant on our Jira Software 8.10.0 server, it doesn't list the app and if I manually download the JAR and install it, it is listed as incompatible.
The documentation for the migration assistant says it is compatible with Jira Server 7.x and newer.
Is this app supported or not?
Hi Jason,
Even though it is appears to not be officially supported, we we able to migrate by following the app migration instructions.

Hi @Brett Changus ,
Thanks for reporting this and apologies for the gap in providing support for 8.10.
We're working on 8.10 compatibility this sprint and also looking to make some improvements to our release process.
Will let you know when we have a fix released.
Regards,
Jason Wong,

Hello @Brett Changus
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, the newest version of the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant is not compatible with Jira 8.10.0, as pointed in the application page:
That being said, we would like to apologize for this compatibility lack and let you know that we created the following feature request to track the current work to implement this integration:
Make Jira Cloud Migration Assistant Compatible with Jira 8.10
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
As a workaround, you can follow the steps below:
Install a new instance of Jira Server version 8.9 (Latest). You can do this using a free evaluation license.
Create a backup from the source Server instance (8.10)
Then, import your data from the backup file to Jira Server 8.9. Verify data is good on this 8.9 Jira instance after the import by doing a sanity check on the data. Some things to check:
Let us know if you have any questions or need further assistance with the steps above.

We've looked into the issue and the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant has been confirmed as of today to be also compatible with Jira 8.10 and 8.11 - the app listing on Atlassian Marketplace has been updated to reflect.
