Jira Cloud not creating issues from some emails, but creates from others...

Ivan Dimitrov February 1, 2018

We are using Cloud based Jira and there's something strange going on.

I've created an email handler to capture emails and create issues from those emails. It works, but for some reason, some of the emails are not being processed.

Is there some kind of log where I can check what exactly happened to those emails?

It's kind of frustrating, because I'm expecting to fix this, but I don't seem to have the tools to do anything about it.

Does anyone have any ideas on where can I check what happened and why those specific emails were not processed by the handler?

Thanks!

Hi Ivan,

The incoming mail logs are not provided in the instance. In case you added your own mail server to use with the email handler, you should be able to perform a test by editing the mail handler and clicking in Next>Test in your Incoming Mail page. This can give you an idea of what is happening.

In case this does not help, we can raise a ticket for you in our support system and check the email logs in order to troubleshoot, just let me know.

Cheers,
Soane K.

Hi Soane,

Thank you for your reply, but I raised a ticket and the issue was resolved.
