Jira Email Notifications Missing Comment and Assignee Details

We've noticed that Jira email notifications are no longer including the actual content of comments or updates to the assignee field. For example, the notification will state that a comment has been added, but it does not include the comment itself. Similarly, when an issue's assignee is changed, the notification lacks details about who the new assignee is.

Is this a known issue or a recent change in Jira's notification settings or configuration? Are there any steps we can take to restore the full content in email notifications, including comment text and assignee updates?

Good day! Welcome to Atlassian Community :)

I would like to inform you that these modifications are implemented as part of our ongoing efforts to enhance security.  Our development team introduced this feature with control over managing notifications.

 Here are the steps you can follow to address these changes:

  1. In adminhub, click “Security” → “External users” page
  2. Select the “External user policy”
  3. Ensure Email and notification visibility is set to Allow

  4. Update the policy
