Jira Gitlab Integration: Can we change how Jira ticket is mentioned?

We are using the Jira Gitlab Integration and we mention the Jira ticket ID like IT-123 in Gitlab to create a web link to the Jira ticket. Just wondering, is it possible to change how Jira ticket ID is mentioned? Such as require to add a prefix like "(jira)IT-123" instead of "IT-123". Our concern is the pattern "IT-XXXX" is also used elsewhere and we don't want to create the web link unintentionally. Thanks.
