Hello everyone,

I am unsuccessfully trying to implement an Issue Security System.

The goal is to have 2 or 3 kinds of users:

  • Some that can view all issues, from any group of issues (i.e. issues covered by a certain security level)
  • Some that can only view issues of their defined group (I want 2 of these issue groups) + issues set as visible to all

It seems possible to do this with configuring an Issue Security System.

I added the configured System (with groups and security levels defined) to my project, and also added to the screens the field “Security level”.

But when creating an issue, the field “Security level” is set to “none” and doesn’t propose any other option.

Anyone knows how I can set a Security level on an issue?

Thanks.

PS. My Jira version is 7.9.2

Hi @Tristan Berthelot ,

please check the following:

  • are the users allowed to set security (look at the permission scheme)
  • a user is only allowed to set a security level if he is included in this security level (check the security levels)

@Thomas Schlegel thanks for your reply.

It seems to work now that I added individually users to security levels.
