Jira Issues Calendar gadget suddenly not displaying issues

Our users recently reported that their Jira Issues Calendar gadget was no longer displaying issues. In other words, last week, the users would see a number of green task boxes in the gadget and now they see nothing. The calendar itself displays, but each day is empty. After checking the issue filter associated with the calendar, it's clear that it should be showing something – the filter returns results. As a result, this gadget is completely broken.

Does anyone have any idea what may be going on?

This issue was the result of the Jira Calendar 0.18 version being included with the base install of Jira 4.4.x. If you change the timezone of your Jira install, the calendar ceases to work. Fortunately, this issue is resolved with 0.18.1.
