Hi all Jira gurus!

We use one of the same default premission scheme for many projects.
I have tried to give the project the right rights to a partner  but somehow I don't succeed.
We have also created a separate group for our partner and have included all the necessary rights in the project rights, but it still does not work as needed.
What could be the problem? Can the jira-users group be a problem, where everyone belongs or how could it be changed so that the parnter could only see nad manage  this project and not anywhere else?

Best
Toivo

That's really hard to answer without more information.

What is not working?

Cann't the partner access jira? Or cann't he see his project?

In the Application access (Cogwheel -> Applications -> Application access) you can specify which groups can access jira (counts to licence). E.g jira-users.

But that is different from project permission (users and roles)

If you put your partner into the jira-users group and have projects, which allow this group to see the project, your partner would see those as well.

You could create a group with your partner members and grant this group application access.

Then add this group to the project they should have access to.
