Jira Server ID

Hello,

our JIRA and Confluence runs on a Virtual Machine. Now i have the problem that the Hostname will changed. So my Question, must the JIRA.Setup.Server.ID changed, too? Or can we furthermore use the current server id?

Atlassian Answer: "...you shouldn't have any need to manually change your server ID. If your server host names have changed, you simply need to edit or delete and recreate your application links to use the new server address."
