Hello everyone!
I'm using Jira Cloud integrated with Slack here.
However, I would like to have an easy way to update the issue status through slack. I created a workflow in Slack that, upon an emoji reaction, sends a message in the thread and I need to change issue status.
But in the Jira App there is no option to change the status.
Can someone help me?
Hi @Pedro ,
Doable with Actioner's Jira app for Slack:

Let me know if you have any questions; happy to help.

Hi @Pedro You want the emoji reaction to change the issue status and send a thread reply at the same time, is that right?

@Pedro yes it is possible to achieve this functionality, but it requires the use of an additional app beyond Jira's native Slack integration.
We've built a Slack app for Jira @ Actioner. It currently allows;
1. Creating an issue by adding ticket emoji to a Slack message.
2.Then it sends a notification to your dedicated Jira project channel.
This notification consist these button to take actions such as changing it status etc. & Also you can get the issue related updates as thread replies.
While we haven't yet implemented a feature to change the issue status via an emoji reaction, it is certainly feasible.
If you are interested in exploring this further, please feel free to reach out via email or connect with us directly in our Slack community.
