Hi everyone!
We plan to buy Jira Software Server edition. Can you inform us about that product, about its pros and cons?
Thank you
Welcome to the community 🙂
Here's a guide
https://www.atlassian.com/enterprise/data-center/jira
I mean you can literally search anything that you need and get the search results from Google.
Let us know what exactly you need?
Thanks
Thank you for your quick answer!
I also need information about Zephyr and Confluence. Are they available for free in case of Jira DC acquisition? Will we have the possibility install them for free, if we own Jira DC?

Zephyr is commercial plugin
Confluence is knowledge base/content management tool by Atlassian again which is commercial!!
They shoul be bought separately.
Let me know if you have any queries
Thanks

Can I ask you to provide with price for both of them for 1-50 users, or provide link, where I can find this info? Or please forward me to the other expert , who can do it. We now evaluate the costs of Jira installation, both for Jira Software DC and Jira Software Cloud. Also we are interested in Confluence, Zephyr and Roadmap. We will appreciate very high, if we can receive price calculation for all of them. Or if it is very expensive, can we manage our work buying only Jira?
In our company we use waterfall, agile and mainly hybrid methods for project management. And it is very hard for us to understand, will Jira be solution in our situation? Can we use it to cover our management processes ? Should we buy additional tools to cover them? Can we create plans, advanced roadmaps? Can we shift from MS Project to Jira? Or maybe we should use them in parallel.
Dear @Pramodh M , I have listed the main part of arrised quiestions here. But it is crucial at this point to understand will Jira installation contribute to our process improvement. If there are best practices already captured somewhere of companies like us, I will appreciate getting access to them 🙂

Hi @Naira Harutyunyan ,
Welcome to the community.
You can't buy Jira Server anymore, you can either get Jira Data Center or go to the Atlassian Cloud.
Pros for DC are:
Jira DC is very customizable and there are tons of Apps that adds extra features, you can get an overview at the Atlassian Marketplace. You host it yourself, so you always control, where your data is.
Cons:
It is quite expensive. You host it yourself, so you have costs for hosting and need someone who keeps the system up to date.
Pros for Cloud are:
Very easy to start, just sign up and you are ready to go. Don't need to worry about hosting. Also a lot of apps, partly with less functionality then in DC. Number of Apps still growing fast.
Probably less cost then DC.
Cons:
Atlassian is hosting for you, for some data you can not define where it is hosted. Not so customizable at all. Less apps then DC.

Hello, @Bastian Stehmann !
Please, can you provide me following information?
Can we plan resources in JIRA DC? Can we see how they are allocated in project, are they free or buisy with doing work, to realize, how to assign separate people to other tasks?
Also, I need information, can we lead Waterfall projects in JIRA DC? Can we create plans like MS project?
I will appreciate if you provide me this info
