I have been using jira software and hosted in Server cloud option.

Q1. Is there any expiry date for free version?

Q2. How I can change from free to Standard plan?

Q3. What is the process to update existing free account to Standard without loosing current project data (Which is present in my jira free account)?

Q4. What is the Standard plan billing calculation and how can I make the payment?

  1. No
  2. TBH, I’m not sure as I have not tried free but I expect there is a means to upgrade under the Jira settings. Possibly under Billing.
  3. see #2. If there isn’t a built in way to do this then I’m sure you can reach out to Atlassian Support and they can assist. Absolute worst case is to perform a backup and use it to restore into a standard instance.
  4. See pricing here - https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/pricing

Hello Rejuc,

  1. Atlassian lets you try the free trial for 30 days. You can then extend it up for 30 days a couple more times.  https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download
  2. To actually purchase your license, you can go to https://my.atlassian.com/product and then select on the trial license you have. From there you should see a "Buy" option.

  3. All you have to do is, enter the new purchased license. None of your data will go missing or change. There is no requirement to reinstall or anything like that on server.
  4. For server licensing, you can go here, https://www.atlassian.com/purchase/product/jira-software
The pricing is for a 12 months of support and what ever amount of user tier you choose.

Hope this helps!

Hi Edwin I'm using Jira Software cloud version not server or data server.

When I try to upgrade to Standard plan then I'm getting below message

"Start your no-cost Standard trial today

We'll upgrade you to the Jira Software Standard plan immediately, but you won't have to pay anything until Jan 29, 2020."

So how about the billing calculation after 29th Jan ?

Will they deduct directly from provided billing account, without intimating me?

Is it billed monthly based? every month will it be charged based on usage?

How much will be the license cost?
