Jira advanced configuration and setup

We are JIRA first engineering shop in Charlotte, NC. Looking for help with best practices and standards with configuration, reporting and ensuring our JIRA setup is at its best, not to mention being stuck with previous release vs. latest version of JIRA

Anyone in the community willing to help, or advise a consultant who can spend a day with my team?

I am not sure which product you are using, but here's a link to some best practices as documented by Atlassian.

Also, if you plan to use Cloud, you do not need to worry about falling behind on versions, Atlassian manages the hosting and upgrade cycle, so you will always be on the latest version.
