Hi , We are having a Jira version 6.4.12 hosted in house , and we are looking to integrate the Jira with Service Now through API's, requesting inputs /suggestion on how to achieve this integration piece. Thanks
Hey @VigneshKumar AK ,
Are you planning to develop it yourself or use an intermediate app for that?
If you are willing to use an app. Here is an explanation of how you can do it with Exalate (the app that our users use)
IF you are still considering developing the integration yourself you might be interested in the following post:

Integrating Jira 6.4.12 with ServiceNow via APIs is possible but can be complex due to the older Jira version. You’d need to:
1. Use Jira’s REST API (though limited in 6.4.12) to send/receive data.
2. Set up ServiceNow’s REST API to create/update records.
3. Develop a middleware (custom script or integration tool) to map and sync data.
Challenges: Jira 6.4.12 lacks modern API capabilities, so automation may require extra scripting.
For a more seamless approach, Exalate can handle bidirectional sync between Jira and ServiceNow without custom scripts, even for older Jira versions. Let me know if you’d like details on that option!

@VigneshKumar AK Hope you've managed to find a solution. Are you using an external tool to make the integration?
In case you happen to have a similar integration project and would like to try an alternative to the integration solution you're currently using, i'd like to make a suggestion. You may take a look at ZigiOps. It's a no-code integration platform that allows you to transfer data between Jira and Snow, bi-directionally. ZigiOps transfers default and custom fields and syncs them in real-time.
Feel free to take a look at it and if you want to see how it works in action: book a technical demo.

there is getint.io https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1223935/getint-for-servicenow-integration?hosting=server&tab=overview .
The app will let you integrate Jira and ServiceNow, with:
The app can be deployed as SaaS or on-premise.
You can try it out for free, the basic setup takes just a few minues.

Depending on what your goals are from the integration, might drive the method. There are some Jira Apps for making connections to ServiceNow.
There are platforms out there was well that handle integrating these two popular platforms.
