Jira analytics Multiple Sprints dashboard questions

We are trying to create Analytics Dashboards using “Multiple Sprints Overview” Template and having some questions:

1. How to connect teams to sprints 
2. How to preserve team-specific settings for different teams
3. How to add additional diagrams to existing template
4. Is it possible to use Jira Dashboard templates/reports/data in Analytics (for example, Sprint Burndown reports) in Analytics. 
   
   

I have answers for my client, but I am looking to validate them. 

How to connect teams to sprints 

The "multiple sprints" dashboard does not have a direct way to explicitly connect teams to sprints.  A work around suggested for this is to use Assignees dropdown by team members.  I do note that labels is within the control set of the dashboard, so a workaround may be to have an automation assign the team name to a label of issues and then use the label field to aggregate data.

How to preserve team-specific settings for different teams

Since we are using workarounds to achieve Teams reporting, we may not have a means to preserve this data. 

I believe the answer to 3 is they would need to build a new dashboard template

Connecting Teams to Sprints:
In the "Multiple Sprints Overview" template, you can use the "Assignees" and "Sprints" dropdown controls to filter and connect specific teams to their respective sprints
This allows you to view metrics and data relevant to the selected teams and sprints. In Analytics dashboard you should be able to add the team column and assignee column for a sprint chart.

Preserving Team-Specific Settings:
To maintain team-specific settings, utilize the "Projects" and "Assignees" dropdown. You could add the Teams field in the chart and use a formula to use a regex to see if the team member is assigned to the work item.

Adding Additional Diagrams:
Yes, if you go to a template dashboard you can go to the "Add Chart" and set that chart where you want it in the dashboard.

Using Jira Dashboard Templates/Reports/Data in Analytics:
No, Analytics has its own set of templated charts and dashboard that are not able to sync with Jira dashboards. The data is in the data lake and that data can be use but the charts are not transferable to Anayltics.
