Jira ticket view e.g. /browse/PRJ-58:

  • use 'create branch' link in 'development' pane to create a branch in bitbucket
  • branch is created in bitbucket
  • i am using the branch locally
  • branch name never updates in the 'development' pane, ever
  • just shows 'create branch, 'rather than the branch name that was created
  • tickets never update to show their respective branch names, depsite them exisiting

So you have the JIRA ticket key in the branch name? The branch will show up in the list only if the key is part of the branch name.

Correct, I do, as Jira generates the branch name for me. However, after creation of the branch, it does not show in the developer pane on the ticket page in Jira i.e. /browse/xxx.

Do you see any error in the JIRA logs while viewing the issue? Anything related to the application links?

Since you are seeing the 'Create branch' option, I assume you have the required permissions.
