Jira cloud Report

rajeswari saravanan January 21, 2025

Need some suggestions regarding Jira cloud reporting,

Currently one of the team is using reports by timeline option in jira cloud, where most of the details are missing and they update in excel manually! Which is pain.

Before I was working on Jira dc where we have eazybi, roadmap everything.

I need some suggestions where I can suggest the team with proper guidance for getting proper excel data where they have multiple stories relying on epics.

Hi @rajeswari saravanan

If you require better reporting, look at the marketplace for apps like eazybi.

Eazybi is a 3rd party app not native, or look at apps that can simply export to excel or a Bi tool that is used in the company (powerBi, Tableau, etc)

The Plans option is equivalent to roadmaps in DC and you should have this based on the premium cloud tier.

Hi @rajeswari saravanan,

A better alternative to the manual Excel-based reports would be to create a team dashboard in Jira will all the necessary gadgets in-place for effectively tracking their epics. The dashboards have the advantage of having the data centralized in one-place, data is in real-time, and they are easily accessible by any team members or project stakeholder.

Jira offers some useful dashboard gadgets bu you could also search on Atlassian Marketplace for a plugin that provides the gadgets you need.

In case you want to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets offers offers many gadgets including a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that allows you to display pivot tables, heat-map tables of pivot charts by using drag & drop just like in Excel.

Please respond in the thread.

Do you see the Plans option in your main toolbar?

This should already be there, due to the fact you have a premium cloud subscription.

Or you might not have been granted permissions, contact your admin in that case.

Yeah Plans there, I will check that works! Will keep posted after trying that.
