Jira goes down with message (Waited+30000+Milliseconds+Error+Message)

Dear All,

We are using JIRa version 4.4.4. with 8 projects and 1090092 issues. The performance of jira is getting worst day by day and it goes down everyday. i hve purged around 2 lac tickets via bulk delete but no improvment. the logs show following error. but i didnt know from where to increase this parameter of 3000 millisecond.

Like in the "Workaround" section said, edit the jira-config.properties and include a line like

jira.index.lock.waittime=90000

Dear Adrian,

Thank you for the link and your prompt response we have created a new folder and increased time by 90000 and hoping that it doesnt goes dwn again. will monitor the system for another two, three days and will let u know.
