Hi I have just bought license for Jira Software but the installation fails every time. I have tried with different versions with no luck. The installation progress for a while and then a warning sign pop up with no visible message and installation fails. Can anyone help?
Product: JIRA Software (Server) 10 Users: Starter License
PC Configuration: Win 10 64 bit
Version tried so far: 7.12.1, 7.12.0, 7.11.2, 7.12.1
Hello @S R Mahmud,
That is odd on how the issue is occurring in the different JIRA versions. This certainly suggests that the root cause is an environmental factor. Let's try performing a fresh installation of JIRA 7.12.1. Please ensure the platforms used (e.g.: Database, JRE/JDK) are listed in JIRA 7.12 Supported Platforms page and perform the installation by following the steps stated in Installing Jira applications on Windows.
Kind regards,
Irfan
Hi,
did you start the installation with admin rights? Did you check the disk space?

With no visible message and no further progress, I'm afraid all we can tell you is that something is broken in your server's operating system, and Jira is running into it. The Jira installer outputs quite a lot when it fails, but your OS is obviously not displaying it.
You could try the zipped/tar installation instead and see what errors they give you (as they don't quite "install", there's less to go wrong)

Go to https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/download and click on the drop-down next to the default selection, there's a "zip archive" on the list
