×Hi team,
I am trying to find some info on all Jira issue types available in the Jira Cloud SaaS version. What's the highest work structure so starting from Business Outcomes > OKRs > Initiatives > Epics > Stories > sub-tasks
This article here seems to elude that we can't have anything higher than Epics ? Is this true in all versions of Jira including the Enterprise level one ? Understanding Jira Hierarchy: Complete Guide in 20... - Atlassian Community
@Nicolae Victor Rusu You can have custom hierarchy levels above epics if you have Jira Cloud Premium (via Jira Plans) or Enterprise. Are you having trouble setting this up or are you just researching?
Hi @Nicolae Victor Rusu ,
Absolutely, you’re not limited to just Epics and below. With Advanced Roadmaps (available in Jira Software Premium and Enterprise), you can set up custom hierarchies that go above Epics.
Here’s how to set it up:

hi @Nicolae Victor Rusu !
By default, the top level of the work hierarchy is Epic. However, you can set up a custom work structure, such as your Business Outcomes > OKRs > Initiatives > Epics. This can be done via Jira Plans - functionality that is only available to Jira Premium and Enterprise users. So, if you have a Standard or Free plan, you won't be able to add anything above Epic.
Please see my article Advanced Roadmaps Hierarchy Configuration Guide for more details. I hope this helps!
