Jira not working alongside Apache

The problem I am facing is after installing Jira,

I cannot run jira on the from the browser as it resolves to what is contained in the apache webserver located in /var/www/html. 

Am I missing something? Have looked at acouple of guides with no luck ,

Hi!

You have to reconfigure apache so it is reverse proxy looking on jira port (default 8080), and then i should work.

I have not so much experince with appache so i can not say configuration to you.
