Jira plugin usage

Can someone please explain how to find plugin usage in Jira (server instance)? I could see "App Usage plugin" is there but it is available only for Data Center instance & not for server instance.  We want to evaluate plugin usage on Server instance before cloud migration.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, and great question!

On the surface, Both Server and Data Center are basically and functionally the same application with the exception that Data Center is just a version of Server that supports multiple nodes.

New server app sales and installs are no longer available for customers. You can update app version via Atlassian Marketplace until the end of support for server on Feb 15, 2024. Additional details about this can be seen HERE

However, Apps that work in a Data Center should work without issue when installed on a compatible Server version 8.20.0 and later.

To manually install the Data Center version of the APP on Server check out the following for more details on this process:

• Understand 3rd party app management in Jira server 

Another approach you could take is to set up a trial install locally of Data Center as a single node and migrate to the single DC node just to verify app compatibility.  Basically, you would install Data Center the same way you install Jira Server locally which spins up only a single node similar to server But on the Data Center versions of the base application and cut over to the Data Center test node from Server while you are preparing for the full migrations to cloud.
