Jira reindexing have showed hidden issues up until now

Here's the story:

1. We have a JIRA installed on our own servers
2. We update two home made JIRA plugin to a new version
3. We reindex JIRA then we restart it
4. After the startup someone notices that theres more issues on their dash board
5. It appears that some hidden issues have «reappeared»

These issues that were hidden have some things in common:

1. They were created multiple times with the quickcreate screen
2. They are almost the same except de date and time
3. They seem to have stayed hidden up until now..

Anyone knows something about that?

Presumably, they were created, but never indexed, and so a JQL search wouldn't find them because the search methodology depended upon an index referencing the issue.  Once you re-indexed the project, they started showing up in search results.

I can't explain why they were not index upon the original creation, you'd likely have to check JIRA logs around the time of the creation to dig into that.
