I have some JIRA questions for today 1 - Does a requester of a JIRA ticket get sent emails when it is open, when it is closed and when there is a comment added?

2 - If a person does not have a JIRA ID and therefore cannot be assigned as the requester, is there a way to send them emails.

3 - can a user have an ID but no licenses and therefore be able to receive the above mentioned emails

Hi @David Chung ,

  1. email notifications are fully configurable : it's up to you to configure if these events should trigger an email notification in your notification scheme.
  2. You can always use the addon Automation for Jira to create a rule that would send emails based on a custom field, but this won't be possible without this addon
  3. Yes as stated above, you can do this with a workaround

Let me know if this helps,

Take a look at the Customer Notifications menu link under Project Settings for the JSM Project.
