When we run a stand up, the "up next" list starts in a certain, random order. We start going through the stand up, and at some point the list re-arranges itself into alphabetical order. We have a large group of about 18 people which isn't ideal but when the re-order happens, we lose track of who has spoken.
Does anyone know a way around this?
From another perspective, it is not a good practice to hold a stand-up meeting with 18 people. A team of 5 to 9 people would be more suitable, and the communication cost will be higher for each additional person.

Hi @Coral Tremayne , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your post.
I have checked what others are saying and it would seem there isn't really any support for this 'feature' yet -
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-94560
https://improvingflow.com/2024/12/20/jira-start-standup.html
You can try to open a support ticket about this issue, about the reordering I mean, but it sounds like you would be better off using a more manual method, like this one - https://thinklouder.com/agile-quicktip-popcorn-daily-scrum/ . We used to do this at school, the person speaking would choose the next person to speak.
If you want to open a support ticket, you can do so here https://support.atlassian.com/contact/
Best wishes
