Good day,
hopefully someone can help us.
So right now we are using Jira on premise v5.0.4#731-sha1:3aa7374 (very very very old) and thats why we want to change it.
We want to migrate to Jira Cloud but i didnt see how to do it because we have a very old version.
Do anybody know if it is possible to migrate to cloud from such old version or how we can do it?
Thank you all in advance.
Hi @Oleg Korob , welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Wow, I was still in primary school when that version released! Unfortunately this means that none of the automated migration I am aware of will support your application.
Whilst I personally have never migrated an installation that old, my expectation is that you have a couple options.
If your data is relatively small or simple, and you don't have any/many apps, then you may be able to get away with a site export and import. I expect you'd need to massage the data and perform some test migrations, but it could certainly be possible.
If you have a complex system, you may instead need to upgrade your applications to a newer version which supports the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant application, to facilitate a site import and export, or perhaps a combination of both.
Atlassian has a number of partners who are experienced with migrations (such as Teklada), and who would be able to review your setup and provide more detailed information.
ok thats what i also thought but my hope was that you have some ways.
Thank you both @Tommaso Gionfriddo _Adeptask_ and @Julie d_Antin _Elements_ for the fast reply and help :)
