Hi We have a software development process where items are initially sized, researched, etc before they are ever put into development and the traditional QA that comes after development. Then after development/qa there may be some addition user acceptance testing or loadtesting.

We want to have a workflow for each of these but keep it in the same Jira project.

Certainly we could do one large workflow but if we do that how do we do the traditional scrum/ greenhopper planning board on just the items in the traditional development phase.?

I think your best bet would be to use a Context that fiiters out everyting post-development. You could even modify the "Default" context to reflect that (although that could create confusion)
