Hi,

Sorry to see you have encountered this problem.  This is a bug.  Please see https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-15185 for more details.  The good news is that this has been fixed in the latest versions.  As such I would recommend that you upgrade Jira to correct this.

This problem happens in Jira instances that are using a language other than English.  It tends to generate an error message like yours (but when translated looks like this):

Exception: Unable to get property "1" from null or undefined reference

or

Exception: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null or Exception: TypeError: j is null

Could be a wild goose chase, but...Are you using MSSQL 2008? If so you may need to upgrade to 2016.
