Keep subtasks syncronized with each other

Tim Rice December 22, 2018
I have an issue that requires action from multiple departments before it can be considered resolved. I believe the best way to represent the issue is with a master issue and a number of subissues. I’ve already set my parent issue to genetate the subissues via Jira Auomation. I’m having the parent issue resolve automatically when all subissues are resolved using post operations on the subissue transitions. The last thing I need to do is update certain fields on one subissue when a different subissue is updated. Any thoughts on how I can accomplish this?

Thank you!

Tim, hi!

You should need a script to perform this. The easiest way to implement this is use ScriptRunner plugin.

Best regards,

Vasiliy

Thank you for your reply. I was hoping there was a more out-of-the-box solution available, but I’m glad it can be done. I’ve never used script runner, I’ll let you know how it goes.
