How can we configure Jira to ensure that a user can only work with one board, so that tickets are always assigned to the correct board type? This is needed because HubSpot only allows the selection of a site, not a specific board.
the user is only in 1 board, but sees 8 boards in the hubspot tool. Which is very inconvenient.

Access to boards are controlled by sharing the board filter. Just adjust the permissions for each of the board filters to exclude the user and that should take care of it.

You can configure the filter permission of board to the users you want them to view.eventhough they board is visible but the issue in that not visible.
