License Too Old For Build: We found a problem with your JIRA license

Hello , 

    I have uninstalled an older version of jira and installed the latest version of jira however i am getting this message. I need to be able to access my Jira server ID through jira in order to validate my new product key but i am unable to. 

Your current Jira Software license doesn't allow you to upgrade to this version of JIRA (8.7.1). Jira Software expired on 01/Dec/19 8:00 AM, and you can currently only upgrade to versions released prior to this date. Alternatively you can renew your license at my.atlassian.com which will allow you to upgrade to this version of JIRA (8.7.1). You can enter your new license here.

Hi Jonathan!

As your license has expired on 01/12/19, you will only be able to upgrade to Jira versions that were released prior to the date. Jira 8.7.1 was released on 3/2/2020. As for now, you can only proceed to upgrade to Jira 8.5.x and lower.
