Limit user permission to ticket creation and commenting

Hi all,

Is it possible to establish restrictions on user/user group permissions to:

• allow ticket creation
• view-only permission to the board - so they should not be able to move tickets across the board
• should be able to add comments & tag people

If possible, what steps do I need to take in order to implement this restriction on user/user group permissions for ticket creation and board view-only access?

This all can be done in your permission scheme, if it is okay for you my recommendation would be to create a Role with this the set of permission remove ( the ones Ashley talk about) and assign it to the user/group you want.

Hey @Botond Gyorgy ,

So to restrict users / groups on ticket creation, you can simply limit this by only allowing the admins / other users to have the permission "Create Issues". You can also restrict the ability to move tickets by only allowing the users you want to move tickets to the permission "Transition issues". Now for the adding comments / tagging you'd want the new user group to be able to "browse projects" and "add comments" / "delete own comments" (if you want). You can do this per user or I'd suggest to create groups and provision users that way! :)
