Hi Jira Experts

How can I assign a specific visibility for certain EPICS or STORIES within a project to certain users. I have created a issue security scheme, but I am not sure how I can assign this scheme to an individual "issue" such as a specific EPIC.

Hi @natalie.heintz

You need to:

  1. Create Issue Security Scheme with security level, and assign to that security level users you would like to have access to sensitive issues.
  2. You need to make sure the field Security level is addedd to Issue creation/editing screen
  3. You need to make sure that you have proper permission "Set security level" assign to every user that need to set such security level
  4. Also individual to be able to set security level need to be assigne to it himself. So using issue security scheme you cannot assign securty level "Only for Accountant group" when you are not a part of this level (Accountant group in this example)

Best regards,

Piotr

Hi Piotr

this is great, I will test it. What about if I have the need that a person in that project can for example only see one or two Epics and related tasks underneath within that project, by assigning the security level to it but this user should be excuded from seeing the rest (other Epics, Stories, etc)?

Best regards

Natalie
