Hello,
our company use Jira (dev tea) and Asana (prod team). I would like to connect both instead of duplicating tasks and milestones.
I saw some app that allowed us to do it but we have to pay. I was wondering if there's any option available and already integrated that I ignore (I already tried to import csv files but I would prefer another option, something more "direct").
Thank you in advance.
As @Alex mentioned, Asana has a free integration with Jira. Just be aware that not all fields are supported to be synced between the two, the integration only allows you to sync summary, description and reporter. If you need to sync more fields then you should look at using an IPaaS Zapier which has a prebuilt integration between Asana and Jira.

Thanks Alex! In counterpart, is there an easy way to import Asana tasks/milestone to Jira or should I always work from Asana (importing Jira issues)?

I played with the server version of the Asana for Jira and that one only creates issues in Jira from Asana. There’s no updates on issues and any issue update in Jira won’t sync Asana fields either.
I am not sure if the cloud version has a more features but it is free to try.
cheers,
Alex
