Is there a way to enter into an issue* we create the Sprint Goal that it is associated with? This would be great for our internal reporting … to see which issues relate to each of our agreed Sprint Goals entered for each Sprint, and to see which issues in our sprint do not have an associated Sprint Goal.

* issue is the Jira term, but we call this a ‘ticket’. It represents a user story or a bug or any of a number of discrete bodies of work to be done by the team.

Hi @AdamN ,

Unfortunately, to my knowledge Jira doesn't include such a functionnality.

But you can maybe use a workaround; for instance let's imagine that you number the different items of your Sprint Goal from 1 to X. Then, if you create a custom field that you add to your issue (or ticket) screens, you will be able to reference the number of the Sprint Goal item which is corresponding to the issue.

Let me know if it helps,

Guilhem

Thank you Guilhem. I’ll contact my Jira administrator about custom field creation possibilities

Simple rich text in Sprint goal would help a lot 🙃
