Linking external JIRA with internal apps

We have locally-installed instances of JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket Server.  We allow external access to our JIRA instance for trusted partners to be able to utilize the tool, but both Confluence and Bitbucket Server are behind corporate firewalls.  We are trying to figure out if there is a way to effectively connect the applications, so users external to the firewall cannot access Confluence or Bitbucket Server, but internal folks can.  If the linkage is where JIRA trusts the applications, are we essentially opening ourselves up to allow external users to access the other applications?

Thank you.

I do not have a definite answer, but my educated guess would be that as long as you do not give external users permission to access Bitbucket and Confluence they will not be able to access them even if they are linked to JIRA.
