Linking our Jira Cloud to one of our providers' Jira Server: what ports ?

Jérôme RAVIER March 17, 2022

When trying to setup an application link from https://<myinstance>.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/applinks/listApplicationLinks using the URL of the Jira Server Instance (https://<jira.myproviderdomain>.com), I had a message saying "No response was received from the URL you entered - it may not be valid".

Before this attempt, our partner has allowed all IP ranges from Outgoing Connections.

In documentation pages explaining how to st up this link, like Application links documentation, it's said that "the server application must be accessible through the ports specified in the Compare Atlassian cloud vs server page".

However, I couldn't find any mention of such ports in this last page.

What are these ports?

They would need to allow inbound TCP:443 in your example.

Another thing that could be happening is that they are running a non-commercial SSL cert (self-signed or from their internal CA.) I've seen errors like this on Server and Data Center when the cert is the issue. I imagine if you open an Atlassian ticket, they would be able to review the logs and confirm whether this is what is happening.
