List of Selected Projects Dashboard

Macneil Tan August 10, 2019

Hello.  As we have hundreds of projects, we need to provide users with a view of the top projects as defined by management in a single page, and then when they click the project name, it would take them to the project directly.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Tnx Mac

you could use Category to define the "top projects". Yes it is manual but then again I expect top projects will change constantly in an organization. You can also create filters, favorite them as top projects and place the Favorities filter gadget on a dashboard.

Hi @Macneil Tan

Firstly, I’m not aware of a way of defining top projects in JIRA without lots of manual mapping (meaning you decide on which are the top projects and store their links in a confluence page).

Now this potentially leads to 2 things:

  • Someone MUST maintain this list manually and update them.
  • Users must access confluence first to know which are the top projects as Jira has no way or place to store this information.

Hope this helps a bit.

Yeah, does appear manual mapping is required here. Ok, will look at that option.  Tnx Ismael
