I would like to know if anyone has used Jira Cloud Project not only to log time for build associated with a ticket but also to log time for calls pertaining to project (Internal and Client Standup and other calls pertaining to Project)? At the end of the time I want to run a report and see total time of all resources spent on a project regardless of type of work.

I have been on projects where we created an issue type for meetings. We then created meetings in Jira and all individuals who attended logged time against the meeting.

If you meant time logging in Jira, you can log your time and add a description to the ticket, see: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/log-time-on-an-issue/
With this, you can still run filters for time logged on an issue.
