I am required to submit a Lucene timing test to certify a plugin for Jira Data Center. If I use the recommended toolkit:
We strongly recommend using the Data Center App Performance Toolkit to conduct this test, as it ships with an appropriate dataset for testing. Upon completing the index, please take a screenshot of the acknowledgment screen displaying the re-index time and attach it to your DC HELP ticket. This takes ~50minutes without an app installed.
Does that satisfy the requirement for the dataset size when testing my plugin or do I have to have 1M rows of data created specifically by my plugin?
I'm looking for some clarification on what the expectations are for the plugin to meet the lucene test requirements as it will be difficult to have the plugin create 1M issues. Specifically does using the test kit dataset with 1M rows and having my plugin installed and running meet the criteria?
Hey @Michael McGreevey ,
You are required to load in an appropriate dataset for a customer that has a million issues in their instance. So depending on what your plugin does, you can make an educated guess on what an enterprise scale dataset would look like for your application.
Thanks,
Ben Magro
