Mail configuration

i'm configuring the mail notification system

but when i test the connexion the following exception is showed :

• AuthenticationFailedException: 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessfu

can somebody tell me whta this error means ? thanks

Username/password is the usual culprit for this message. Some mail servers also check the source as well and return this message if they don't like the source (for example, the user called "Jira" can only connect from the server called jiraserver). Check the username/password first though.
