Hi @Jennifer_Simonds

First, we need to coordinate with our internal network administrator to allow the connection and adjust the proxy settings. Since the Jira Cloud application is hosted on Atlassian's infrastructure and needs to connect with our internal mail server, it cannot establish a direct connection. Instead, it relies on the SOCKS proxy to make this connection. However, the SOCKS proxy is currently blocking this connection due to its ruleset.

In contrast, for the Jira Server application, which is hosted internally, direct connections to mail handlers are supported and function without issue.

If we continue to experience issues with Jira Cloud connecting to the mail server after addressing the proxy settings, we may need to reach out to Atlassian support for further assistance.

Hello @Jennifer_Simonds

Can you give some details on how you have set the mailHandler, please?
