Anyone familiar with or using Tempo for time tracking that can help me understand if there is a possibility to validate that a user has logged time prior to transitioning the issue to the next status? I see in the workflow a field required validator, but don't find where there's a "tempo" field/worklog to validate against.
I ran a test validating on Time Spent field. I logged time on the issue via tempo and executed the transition, but received an error stating time spent was required. Is it possible to validate this when using Tempo even? Any other ideas on how I can ensure folks are logging time on issues?
You can't use a Validator. You have to use a Condition, and require the Time Spent field to have some value. The downside of this is that the user does not get a warning about why they can't transition the ticket. There is a suggestion in the Tempo user voice area about building out this functionality; for now, you have to use Condition.
@Kim P add the worklog field and mark mandatory while closing/resolving the tickets
