Managing excel

Hello folks,

I have a RAID log in excel format (attached in the screenshot, top table). Using the raid log I want to fill the values in Risk Matrix table (attached in the screenshot, bottom table). We need to consider 2 columns primarily in the Raid log table, i.e. Probability and Impact.
For example - 2 risks exists with high probability and high impact, then in the Risk Matrix will be filled with 2 for high probability and high impact.
another example - 1 issue exists with Medium probability and High impact. So in the risk matrix, 1 will be placed for Medium probability and High impact.

Can anyone please help me how do I fill the Risk Matrix sheet in confluence? Which macro can be used for this and how?

Hi @HQRAZAHS ,

We can suggest trying the app that we develop - Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence.

If you prefer to work with native Confluence tables (or tables that you recreate from .csv files using our Table from CSV macro), you may check this guide regarding the Risk Matrix.

Please note that if you are on Cloud, you'll need Table Toolbox to nest macros. On Data Center macros are wrapped one into another directly on the page. Other steps are the same.

And if you want to continue working with Excel but do it right in Confluence, you may take the Table Spreadsheet macro, import your data, and create the required matrix in the familiar UI.

Here is a link to our support portal in case of any specific questions - you are welcome!

If you have the spreadsheet in Excel, why to re-created it? You can add the spreadsheet to the content tree using the "smart link" feature.

I have great success with using Google sheets in my Confluence spaces using this approach. They feel pretty much native there.

@Aron Gombas _Midori_ Smart link can be used but ultimately I have to export it. The exported file will not show the exact data. It will simply show that link. Am I right here?

Is there a way I can export data so that the target (exported) report has the exact data as on the confluence page? Also can you please confirm if there is a way to to do export in power point format cuz I only see 'export as word' and 'export as pdf'.

Thanks in advance.

You can use my gadget app, which allows you to map values and draw a 3D insights graph with built-in statistics.

This might give you a clear view of your data - all without leaving Jira, and with options to export graphs as .png or .svg files.

You can easily spot clusters and focus on the right issues.
