We have a setup of 4 Servers running jira Application in a containerized environment, The memory usage which is showing in actual server is way different from the value showing in the Jira Admin UI in the cluster properties.

What is the reason for these values to change?  We have allocated 50G of memory as Java Heap MemoryMicrosoftTeams-image (4).pngMicrosoftTeams-image (3).png

Hi @Tharaka Ranathunga,

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

  • The first screenshot shows the usage of the heap space.
  • The second screenshot shows the RAM usage.

Just a side note, do you really need 50GB heap space for a 4 node Jira Data Center? Bigger heap space will not guarantee better performance - you will need to fine-tune it so that full GC does not happen frequently and when it happens it takes a short duration to finish.

Thanks,
Moga
