Hello,

We have here a Jira Server at version 7.8 with MySQL and want to migrate to Jira Cloud.

So, by my understanding we have to:

  • Backup our current data
  • Build a staging Jira Server with PostgreSQL
  • Upgrade it to 7.9
  • Upload the backup
  • Backup all the data from the staging server
  • Upload it to Jira Cloud

The questions:

How to migrate the attachments? Do i have to backup it manually? If yes, how to upload those attachments to Jira Cloud?

The Users and Groups will also be migrated just by taking the backup from the admin panel?

How about the timezone issue? We are at America/Sao_Paulo.

Yeah, but I'm trying to restore the backup at Jira Cloud and don't have access through SSH.

So, how to restore the attachments at Jira Cloud?

It's possible to restore a native PostgreSQL backup at Jira Cloud?
