Migrate information

I currently have numerous variations of a custom description field across 3 projects, ( description field) that i want to reduce back to one variation. I know from previous if i 'deactivate' the custom field, it will remove any existing information held in that field. is there a way to migrate that information to a new field ?

As per my understanding, This very rare case So In Jira don't have any inbuilt function to achieve it.

If it necessary, you just need to do it manually.
